I am someone who loves nice things, like ocean views, good vibes, but still want to make sure there is value. I want to be impressed. And sadly I wasn't. This property is just way over priced for the limited things you get. The room is the smallest room I've had in any hotel across cities like Miami, LA, NYC and others by about half the size. I travel a lot so my comparison is based on a lot of hotels across the USA. It's what 250 sq ft while most upgraded rooms at other hotels are 400 sq ft. You barely have room to place your luggage. The gym is humid, small and has very limited equipment & just really outdated. Everytime I ordered food or drinks, even if it was a simple on menu cocktail, it would take 15-25 minutes. And the final straw for me was the attitude I got when I asked to check out at 12 vs 11. I travel 2x a month and never has a hotel gotten upset regardless if they were sold out. The reality is that this hotel makes you feel like you're in the wrong to expect better amenities, faster service and a one hour extension on check out. And so honestly, do not book here unless your #1 reason is to do the pool parties & you need a place to crash. Not impressed.
The attitude I got to not extend the hour check out was enough for me to decide I won't be coming back to this property.
I travel to Miami once a month and that's a wrap for me and SLS.
