We booked a 1 night stay here as part of our participation in a local charity bike ride---all surrounding motels and hotels were full. The desk staff at the motel was very helpful and friendly but the space was thick with cigarette smoke. The motel itself has about 14 rooms. They are in very tired condition with massively stained carpets, old furniture and drapes, and bedding with cigarette burns in them. The sheets were clean but paper thin and the bathroom had a sliver of soap and a pretty old, rough looking shower stall. The room was cooled by a window air conditioner. The complimentary coffee was a microwave to heat up a Styrofoam cup of hot tap water and an instant coffee straw. This place is for people on a really restrictive nightly budget or people just needing a place to sleep before putting their boat into Lake Michigan.
