The hotel is located on one of the main streets in Manhattan. Accordingly, it is naturally quite noisy. Our hotel room was equipped with a king-size bed, a small shelf, fridge, safe, coat hooks and a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. The room is very small, but perfectly adequate if you are traveling a lot. The room facing the street is really noisy. You can hardly sleep there without earplugs. The room was very clean. You can stay well on the roof top. Contrary to the photos, however, there is only one of these transparent spherical tents on the Roof.
We mainly chose this hotel because breakfast is supposed to be included. We were very disappointed with the breakfast “offer”. There was coffee, water or lemonade, soggy ready-made croissants and other sweet pastries from the supermarket and sometimes fruit. There was no bread, toast or bagels (which is actually the most popular breakfast in New York). There were also no cold cuts or jam for the croissants. The supermarkets, like everything else in the area, are completely overpriced, so we bought some cold cuts and bread for a lot of money to have something to eat in the morning.
The service staff were very friendly & helpful. We just wish we had known earlier that there was a volume control device in the room. We were only told this when we checked out. A big advantage of the hotel is that the location is very central. You can walk to Grand Central,Times Square and the Empire State Building in just a few minutes.
