From the website:
http://www.dipdogs.net

The Dipdog originated in 1957 by Lester Brown, In 1963 interstate 1-81 came thru and a lot of the businesses on Hwy 11 left or got left behind. I think the reason the Dip Dog thrived was that the DipDogs were unique and something different that people could enjoy at a low cost.. Then it was purchased in 1966 by Grant S. Hall Sr. and he owned the DipDog til 1979. The family ran the business. Grant and his wife Olivene and children all worked there. It was a lot of hard work but we also have a lot of good memories that will last a lifetime. Then Grant Jr and Pam purchased the dipdog in 1979 and our children Crystal and Justin also have worked at the Dipdog with us and now we have other family members growing up in the business as well. There have been 50th wedding anniversaries celebrated at the Dipdog along with engagements, and Teenagers going to the prom . We also have had Aerosmith come by and eat with us. We have been listed in the Southern Living Magazine. We have also been in books with the best service. And since 2004-2006 we have been voted
Best Overall Restaurant
Best Service
Best Hamburger
Best Hotdogs
Best Fries
Best Chili
Best Ice Cream
For all the things we have been voted for and for all the years and the memories we want to say THANK YOU TO OUR CUSTOMERS.
