Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft. Man ist sofort Mitten im Geschehen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Es hat uns gut gefallen, schöne Aussicht direkt auf den Schillerplatz, das Apartment war schön möbliert, die Küche war gut eingerichtet, das Bad geräumig. Wir würden es wieder wählen.

Great location halfway between train station and centre town, easy walk to both. The apartment is large, well equipped and great for a family. Come on a market day - Mainz was great.

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Mainz old town. Just a short walk to many sights, restaurants, shopping and the river. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here.

Nightmare of a check-in -- literally.
The management -- the check-in procedure, to be particular -- leaves much to be desired. We were traveling with a baby and took particular care to contact the management in advance so that check-in would be smooth. In the end, it was a nightmare. We were lugging along heavy suitcases in the rain in a Mainz January from the station and had a hard time finding the place in the night. They said that they would arrange for shuttle from the station and we were banking on that. We left several messages for them through the hotels.com portal and even hotels.com emailed us that a check-in prior to 10pm would be smooth. This was the first time we were using a non-hotel (that is, no 24/7 front desk)...we repeatedly tried to contact them. In the end, the management said that it was not their responsibility since they did not receive any of the messages. I showed them the messages on the hotels.com portal and also the emails. As a guest, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to better prepare for a check-in. I've never had to call a hotel/property to confirm a booking/check-in procedure. In fact I did try to call them once and the line didn't go through.
In any case, I'd stay away from this management.

Minor maintenance needed
Location is an easy 10 minute walk from the main train station in Mainz and the hotel is located within 1 or two blocks of a nice grocery store, restaurants and the older section of Mainz.
Only complaints are that we specifically selected this hotel because it was two bedroom with air conditioning unit. We found that the air conditioner needed service in that its inlet filter was so clogged with dirt that it greatly reduced the air flow from the unit and its cooling capacity. I tried to reach the filter to clean it but with 10-ft ceilings, there was no safe way to do so. I called and left a message about the filter with the apartment owner (we stayed two nights) but received not response.
One of the bedroom windows was ajar and could not be closed completely and some of the lights in the bathroom were inoperable.
The apartment does have a nice kitchen and a covered deck.
