The Riu Plaza New York Times Square is located in the heart of New York and not far from Penn Station, which is convenient if you arrive in Newark and take the train for the transfer. The hotel offers - which is always difficult to get - triple rooms. Two large beds and a sofa bed that offered really good sleeping comfort. The rooms are spacious enough, modern and attractively designed, with closet and safe. Very nice bathroom. We stayed on the 21st floor and had a great view of the Hudson. If you have temp neighbors, you notice that it is a bit noisy. Fortunately, this was only the case for two nights. There are three slots for the breakfast buffet. We are expressly warned about the 8-9:00 am slot. There are several queues of guests in the lobby, just like at airport security. The staff manage everything with a great deal of professionalism, which is admirable. The buffet is really recommendable with fresh fruit, salmon, cold cuts and salad, cheese, cereals, quark, scrambled eggs, bacon and warm side dishes, guacamole etc. But as I said: either early or late breakfast. Otherwise you have to queue. Overall, I can recommend the hotel in good conscience.
