I saw pictures online of this beautiful blue victorian with comfortable looking rooms and based on reviews booked our two-night stay.
The owner, Tanya, was one of the most delightful and friendly people I've met. We had easy conversation, and you can feel her love and passion for Meadowood. She cooked us an amazing breakfast, had her housekeeper place fruit in the minifridge in our room, and you can feel her positive energy.
The rooms were very spacious given the age of the house. The mattress was firmer than we are used to so we didn't have the best sleep there, but I loved the pillows.
You can see the age in some spots of the house. Our bathroom had quite a significant slope to the floor. The tile behind the pedestal sink didn't have any grout and you can see the mesh. And our sliding shower door wasn't on a track so it would swing inwards when you opened the door. That said, it was an absolute treat to have our own private bathroom. I hope the quirks are mid-upgrade.
I hope Tanya is able to pour her love into this home for years to come. There's so much potential to take this from pleasant to outstanding. She has the rooms cleaned with medical grade cleaners which made me feel at ease. I would recommend staying here if you are the outdoorsy type who enjoys hiking the trails. I overheard Tanya speaking with other guests and giving great recommendations so she knows this location very well.
