I recently stayed at Lujo Hotel with my family, booking a total of three rooms at different times through Expedia. My experience was mostly wonderful, but there was one significant issue that marred our stay.
When I was searching for hotels on Expedia, I came across Lujo Hotel and was impressed by the variety of room options. I selected a family room that sleeps four, featuring a king bed and two double beds, which seemed perfect for my family. I completed the reservation and paid for it without initially changing the number of guests from two to four. Realizing my mistake immediately after, I emailed the hotel and checked Expedia again to see if the rate would change when I adjusted the number of guests to four, but it didn’t. Confident that everything would be fine, I was shocked upon arrival when the hotel demanded an additional €1863 because we had booked for two guests instead of four.
Throughout our stay, not once were we asked about the number of people in our party when dining at any of the hotel’s outlets, which made the additional charge seem arbitrary and unjustified. This incident left us feeling taken advantage of, as it didn’t appear to be a relevant factor during our stay.
Aside from this issue, the overall quality and experience at Lujo Hotel were excellent. The facilities were top-notch, the rooms were comfortable, and the service was commendable. However, the unexpected and substantial extra charge cast a shadow over what would have otherwise been a perf
