After originally deciding to stay somewhere else because of comments about the noise, we had to book on short notice because our original accomodation fell flat. The receptions were both very nice and helpful. We asked if the children could get two separate beds, and he gave them the triple room (with the stained glass windows). It was spacious, with the third bed up in a loft. We parents had a standard room which was tiny and had to few hooks to hang towels and clothes. Both rooms were facing to the side, a tiny driveway shared with a fast food restaurant. Because there was no AC, we had to crack the windows open. The noise from the restaurant's ventilation, restocking their storage at night, random poeple being noisy and a bit of street noise made for a really poor night's sleep. Also, interior sound insulation was minimal. We could hear the door of the adjacent room and the elevator. When someone else used their bathroom, we could hear them moaning, and flushing their toilet sounded as if a deluge was coming down ours. Also, while cleanliness was otherwise impeccable, the drain pipes smelled funny. WiFi was complicated to register, slow and quirky, and you had to re-register even before the nominal 4 h were over.
Surface parking is free from 6 pm to 10 am, but it is extremely hard to get a parking space. For day parking, it is best to use a parking garage. On summer saturdays, they are only 2 € from 8 to 7.
