I only stayed one night. It was a Saturday to Sunday. My room overloaded a parking lot and wear house. That was no problem, however at 2:30 AM Sunday the wear house opened a metal door and began unloading an 18 wheeler. The constant beep beep of the forklift backing up as it was taking off stock went on until a little after 4AM …so no sleep. When I called the front desk to ask what could be done I was told to turn up the A/C. It was in the 30’s outside so I didn’t even consider that option, and since the room had modern cooling, the AC would not be loud enough to block the noise like a unit in a cheap motel.
In the morning I spoke with the front desk who explained that I had gotten a lesser quality room because I booked through Hotels.com and it was up to that booking agent to warn me of possible noise issues. So… bottom line, the answer was you can get a better price, a nice looking room, view is a 50/50 shot, however sleep is not a guarantee due to noise. They offered a parking credit which I declined. I wasn’t looking for money, I was angry (and still am) and didn’t want to have this happen to another guest !!! Also not nice to dump it on Hotels.com.
Very poor customer service from a beautiful looking hotel.
