This hotel was a real gem!!! The owners did such a great job of making me feel welcome and nothing was too much for them!!! Given the difficulty of the COVID pandemic AND the extension work that they were doing on site, the comfort and quality of this stay was nothing short of miraculous!!! The room had most of its decorative items removed, but it was still very comfortable. Because of how quiet the hotel was, they gave me an upgrade and at times I was made to feel like I was the only one in the hotel (maybe I was), but this was a good feeling and made me feel very special after a hard day working! Breakfast was a real highlight (see picture) and was something to look forward to almost from the point when my head hit the pillow the night before!!! Again, the attention to detail was exceptional, as was the anticipation of my every need!!! The proprietor even packed up my breakfast on the last day so that I could make my train back to Schiphol!!! I feel that my experience may not be indicative of what one can expect once the city/country is more ‘normal’, but the proprietors are currently setting the highest standard that I have ever experienced at this price point!!! This may be unrealistic once they experience normal occupancy, but I wish that more of my hotel stays around the world could be like this one every time!!!
Great experience overall. The hotel is somewhat dated but this mainly adds to the charm. Excellent location in the heart of Antwerp.
The hotel is situated in a good spot to tool around the Christmas Market and the Cathedral area. Lots of food around the area with easy walking. Parking is limited so make sure you inform the Hotel you will need a spot (20 Euros per day). The room we stayed in 407 was really interested with an Old Wooden Pulley that was built into the wall. It was the original part of the building and nice. The breakfast is really nice. Good breads, eggs, nice selection of granola to chose from and pastries plus selection of juices. The Coffee /Tea/Hot Chocolate machine is available 24 hours a day and we used it. Overall I'd stay here again. It was a god find.
The hotel is very classy and perfectly situated in a heritage building near the river and about five minutes walk from Grote Markt, the historic centre, and fifteen minutes walk to the trendy area of Hut Zuid. We stayed three nights, although we changed rooms after night 1 as I wanted a bath tub. Also the first room (301), although it had a private terrace, did not have a door on the loo which was a bit too modern for my husband! 203 was perfect. The breakfast was excellent and there is garage parking at €20 a night. We loved the hotel.
I loved the location. I also liked the hotel despite its age, it is properly maintained. The size of the room is more than enough. It was a great choice.
We absolutely loved staying here! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful, the room was wonderful. The building itself is charming and fairly easy to get to by car. They have parking available, which was perfect and we were able to wander the city with easy from the hotels location. Would definitely stay again! Oh! And breakfast was lovely!
Close tobthr river Wasy walking distance to all the major sites. Plenty of excellent restaurants close by.
Lovely hotel!
€190 per room per night. For this price, we expected a luxurious room. Room 107 hasn’t been refurbished (maybe others are better?) and it was very tired. Broken tiles on floor of bathroom. Tired lighting (no dimming - too bright). Excellent service though.
lovely hotel full of character and gorgeous room with beams. very comfortable room and en suite. i would definitely stay here again
