One Ocean Resort and Spa: A Profound Disappointment
Our recent stay at One Ocean Resort and Spa was nothing short of frustrating. Despite being advertised as a luxury resort, the reality was an aging four-star hotel with neglected facilities and subpar service. As a group consisting of two civil engineers and a physician, all extensively traveled, we were thoroughly disappointed by the stark contrast between the marketing and the actual experience.

The hotel itself is outdated and poorly maintained. Room conditions were unacceptable—
1. door frames were loose, and the malfunctioning door handle required slamming to close, causing unnecessary disturbance (please refer to attached photos).
2. The bathroom sink edges were moldy, and drainage was so poor that water took minutes to clear (please refer to attached photos).
3. The exhaust fan emitted a loud shriek, further diminishing the comfort of the space.
4. Housekeeping was inconsistent—despite tipping daily, the room was often not vacuumed properly, and cleaning overlooked key details like the sink’s outer edges.
5. Basic amenities were also lacking. The TV was not a smart model, forcing us to purchase an HDMI cable since the front desk had none available.
6. The TV table and dinner table were heavily scratched, dented, and even had paper trails stuck to them (please refer to attached photos).
