Fun trip turned nightmare
My daughter and I came down to Orlando to meet my son at a conference. This was her first time in Orlando and the experience was supposed to be exceptional, even though it was short.
Within our first hour there, i was calling down to the front desk to ask for assistance with room change due to dirty sheets and bugs in the room. The gentleman moved us right away to the next available room. That one wasnt much better. There were more bugs in that room but at least the sheets were clean. My daughter and i bought bug spray the next day. The AC unit started to leak in the room. I notified the attendant the night that it happened, he said he would let maintenence know. I met the manager the following day and made her aware about what has been happening and she apologized and sent the maintenance guy up within minutes and housekeeping. The air unit was fixed and linens were changed.
The internet did not work throughout the building and elevators weren't working until the day before we left.
I spent over an hour on the phone with expedia agent letting them know about the situation and it was to be fowarded to the property mgmt. When i notified the mgr on the property about this, she immediately went to look. I understand new ownership has taken place but, it may have been better to renovate the property entirely and then open back up. Initial reviews when i booked showed 5 stars, after checkin and further search, showed 2 stars. This place has potential but not at the moment.
