This hotel's location between Fort Worth and Dallas is undeniably convenient. The staff's exceptional service went a long way to mitigate our initial disappointment caused by misleading photos on hotels.com (the pictures showed a large bathtub that wasn't in our room).
They were incredibly understanding and apologetic about the bathtub discrepancy. Their friendly and accommodating attitude was commendable. They quickly moved us from the mistakenly booked disabled access room, and were generally helpful.
However, the room itself fell short of expectations. It was dark and dingy, with old carpeting and worn furniture. The sofa was uncomfortable, and the bed was hard with tiny pillows.
Our last night was disrupted by a smoke alarm that sounded incessantly. Exhausted and needing to leave promptly the next morning, we didn't report the issue. This incident left us stressed and sleep-deprived before a long travel day.
Overall, this hotel presents a mixed bag. The staff deserve high praise. However, the misleading advertising, the uncomfortable room, and the disruptive alarm detracted from our stay. Travelers should be aware that the photos on hotels.com may not accurately reflect the rooms.
