Excellent oceanfront Euro-vibe hotel
I had the pleasure of staying at this charming little gem right on the beach in Laguna Beach, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment I stepped inside, the European vibes of the place were evident—think cozy, boutique-style decor with a laid-back elegance. The entire hotel was spotless, which immediately set a welcoming tone. The oceanfront view from my room was simply breathtaking. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore was like nature’s lullaby, making it impossible not to unwind. If you’re someone who loves being near the water, this is an ideal spot. A lovely bonus was the complimentary breakfast, which was not only delicious but also offered a good variety of fresh options to start the day. But what really stood out was the front desk manager. He was so warm and accommodating, making sure every guest felt welcomed and comfortable. His hospitality really elevated the entire experience. If you’re looking for a peaceful, picturesque getaway with great service and an unbeatable location, this is the place. It is literally next-door to the Surf and Sand, which is triple the price and just down the road from the Montage which is quadruple the price and not as close to the beach. Highly recommend!

On a positive note, the views from our room and the balcony were exceptional, and some of the best that I have ever enjoyed from a hotel. The hotel boosts private access to the beach, and plenty of comfortable you gets where you can soak in the view and the sun. If you enjoy falling asleep to the sound of the ocean, you’ll also enjoy this hotel. However, the poet thin walls that let you hear the ocean also let you hear every other noise, whether that’s other guests, or the music playing from nearby bars in to the early hours. The room itself was extremely small, not very well appointed and I little run down. The bedding was stained in places. The bathroom was large and it n first impressions quite luxurious, but on closer inspection produced a dribble of water from the tap and the extraction fan above the shower was hanging from its housing. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Very expensive for experience offered. Reserved 'ocean front,' but our room looked onto the roof of another building. You could see the ocean but the roof obstructed a view of beach or waves. It is a long walk of many steps to the very small and hazardous beach area. Parking was a jigsaw puzzle and did not accommodate larger than average cars well. No central air or ceiling fans in the room, two portable floor fans/swamp coolers were provided, which were somewhat efficient, but very loud. Room was fine, the people we encountered were nice. Construction sounds began 0700, on this property and one next door. Lots of other places to choose from in that area, and when spending that amount of money.
