The elevator broke soon after our arrival and was only fixed when we checked out (we stayed for 6 days...). Unfortunately this happened last time too, but then we even got stuck in the lift for an hour until the mecanic arrived...
The staff is really friendly. The bathroom is very, very small, but does it's job. The size of the room itself is good. The mattress is amazing for me. It's very hard, which I like. I slept through every night. It might be a bit noisy outside (as it is in every big city), especially on weekends or Easter holidays, but with ear plugs it was no problem at all.
it's just a 5 minutes walk to the place de la Republique, where you have everything you need. Restaurants, Bistros, Shops, 24h Drugstores... but you should avoid that place on Saturdays as long as the Gillets Jaunes are doing the demonstrations every Saturday...
We bought a "carnet" (tickets for the metro), but actually we needed the metro only once, besides the ways from and too the airport. The weather was nice, so we walked a lot. And if you wanna be faster, you can rent kickboards everywhere. Just download the App, connect it and go... and when you're finished you can practically just leave it, where ever you are...
But back to the hotel: all in all it is very good, especially for Paris. (BTW: they offer breakfast, but we never went there, since it was not included and you have tons of options around...)
