Charming hotel on the center square in Mt. Vernon. Beds were very comfortable, room was spotless and quiet, and breakfast was adequate. The water pressure in the shower could have been stronger, but that's my only complaint. Recommend for visitors to Kenyon College, which is 12 minutes away by car.

This property is beautiful and immaculately clean! Right in beautiful downtown Mount Vernon on the square & within walking distance to several restaurants and coffee houses & super cute little shops. Breakfast was excellent and the property so warm and cozy! We stay here every time we visit the area.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this lovely hotel. It looked a bit smaller in the photos, but it really is sort of grand :-) it’s right on the main roundabout in town and it felt very high end and well-maintained. Little touches, like afternoon lemonade with fruit syrups, and good breakfast. We especially liked walking just one block to the new tavern/gastropub, the Biekerdyke Taproom. Will stay again.

A must stay in Mount Vernon
While this hotel looks historic, it’s actually a fairly new hotel rebuilt from the ground up to look like the original. The front desk attendants Chase and Daniel were both polite and helpful. The rooms clean, nice linens, Aveda products in room along w coffee maker. Breakfast was great with ample seating. Parking was also ample.
