Its important to know when booking that there are 2 types of rooms at the Lyndian Myth, Standard and Deluxe. The Deluxe, which are on the upper floor, are more expensive than the ground floor rooms. I 'requested' a high floor room, and understood that fulfilling 'requests' was dependant on availability. I was never informed until we arrived that a high floor request would come with an extra charge payable direct to the owner. We could not afford this so accepted the ground floor room, and the owner waved the extra charge for air conditioning which was also payable on arrival.
The room was well equipped and comfortable. On arrival the fridge is stocked with basicc immediate needs, which is a nice touch. The internet connection is poor and intermittent. There is TV in the room, we didn't use this, there are only Greek programmes plus BBC World news which has no sound. We had a DVD player, but you would need to bring your own DVD's especially if your children need 'downtime'.
The situation of the accommodation is good. Away from the road and busy town of Lindos, but within walking distance. There is an excellent bus service, a short walk away, reasonably priced and air conditioned, to Rhodes town and other resorts. George, the owners son who is usually in the office is very helpful and keen to ensure you are having a comfortable holiday. So after a disappointing start we did make the most of our holiday.
