Due to a overbooking problem i was placed in an airless, windowless room located in the basement floor. Furthermore, due to generators or machines there was constant noise throughout the whole evening which kept me awake all night. Thankfully, the next day i was transfered to another room, the room i actually booked, and the problems seemed to have been solved at first. However, i realized that i forgot my blazer in the basement floor and asked the recepionist kindly to return it to my new room. When i entered my room in the evening the first thing i realized was that the room was not cleaned, it was in the exact same condition as i had left it in the morning and i could not find my blazer...I went to the receptionist to discuss both problems and was surprised to find out that my blazer was most probably stolen from my previously inhabited room. When i asked what could be done in this situation i was confronted with idleness, which was a real schock to me as i have never encountered a problem of this nature in any hotel or hostel.... In addition, the next day my room was once again not cleaned, merely tidied up a little bit.
All in all, i was really dissapointed by the misleading reviews on expedia about this hotel and the idleness of the hotel regarding my blazer. The overstrained state of the hotel managment with simple tasks such as cleaning a room and processing bookings overshadows positive qualities such as the really good location and the tasty breakfast.
