Do not stay there
The worst stay after nearly 2 months travelling Australia. All these things have been brought up, but nothing happened so far apart from replys of the same person who is responsible for the mess and accousing us from lying. Good thing, pictures do not lie.... Up to this day no reply from owner/manager.
A short list:
The toilet rim was covered in Sh**, no idea how this could not have been seen by the cleaner. There was a syringe still lying in the bathroom. The safe was broken and the sink would not drain for hours, hence we had to clean our teeth in the shower. Once we got hold of the receptionist-manager she did clean the dirt, but the toilet wasn’t clean still. Also, she apparently put a liquid into the drainage - which made no difference at all. A broken jar in the kitchen caused my partner with a small eye injury, which had to be checked and medicine was required. We also mentioned this and no one even offered to reimburse the doctors fee or anything at all. We also mentioned our issues to the apparent brother of the manager (who told us his brother/owner was overseas) who said he would get in touch, which never happened so far. He also admitted that they were not satisfied with the current receptionist/manager. We also wrote a complaint e-mail which was answered saucily by the same receptionist/manager who was no help in the first place. Spare your time and money and stay at any other place in Byron. We have no idea how they achieved such good rating.
