Choose Better
Told immediately upon checking in that I would have to change rooms the next day; I asked why since my room was prepaid, because I came late (11:30 pm). The first rooms (108) air/heat unit had the sound of a machine in a factory, very loud and disruptive to sleep. I moved to second room (201) on 2nd day that I hoped to be better but was far worse. The air/heat unit was much quieter but smelled like dog each time the blower was on. The door had a half inch gap at the bottom that had light, air and and sound coming through. I was provided a towel to remedy the gap. Old spring mattress. All of the furniture was chipped, cracked or damaged. The mini fridge was dirty with hair and old stains and rusted. The headboard had visible adult sized hand prints. The wall closest to the bed had blood splatter. The phone was not working, the clock was not plugged in. These were remedied. All of the metal lamps were rusted. The jet tub had a trail of burn marks. There were two badly repaired holes in the bathroom door. There was dark grout or paint on the wall and base boards making it difficult to distinguish from dirt. The water knob in the shower was not fitted on. While in the shower the water was increasingly hot, on my attempt to adjust to cold, it was getting hotter, burning me. I had to call front desk share the issue and they said "what do you want me to do?" Fix the WATER. Send someone up. The person they sent did fix the issue. Dust on the dryer.
