This is not a 5 star hotel. We wanted to enjoy a beautiful easter with family coming in to meet us. Little did we know that the hotel just had wandered from a Waldorf Astoria Hotel to a Hilton and we had the feeling that half the staff was suddenly missing.
No manager on duty to talk with about ... running out of food on a easter sunday, waiting for drinks over 45min, dirty toilet brush on the floor in the hall...they forgot to book my car as I had to go to a business meeting which made me 30 min late. What a sad experience for our entire family. We used to love this hotel and come here every other month on business, it sure has changed.
Then on easter sunday the owners had a party with 100s of partying and poorly behaved people, so much security we were not allowed to use the toilets...and the security man told us it is not safe for our children. so we had to go to our rooms...incredible. On easter monday young kids from the party were still hanging around the bar, with their feet on tables... drunk.
We love good hotels and are very sad to see a former nice environment to turn into. Then the pool was closed most of the time and very much a general lack of friendliness.
We had booked e rooms and a suite. The suite was nice but very bad cleaning, they must have been in a hurry every day. No clean soap, wash...etc...vacuming every second day.
Some of the staff were obviously very embarrassed at the situation, but can do nothing about it.
