I'm writing this review on behalf of my husband, who stayed at this hotel during his business trip. He arrived on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025, after missing one night due to a flight delay. Fortunately, the hotel allowed him to check in early around 11:00 AM. Upon entering his room, he was pleased with how clean and comfortable it wasâhe was really looking forward to catching up on some much-needed rest.
Unfortunately, that didnât last long. Around 2:00 PM, he was abruptly disturbed by loud hammering and drilling. He contacted the front desk and was told they were sorry for the inconvenience. Later that evening, after returning from business around 10:30 PM, he hoped to finally get some rest. But again, by 6:30 AM the next morning, he was woken up by more construction noise.
He went to the front desk to express his frustration and was informed that renovations were taking place in the room directly above his. They did move him to another room afterward, but by that point, the damage had been done. This experience was far from relaxing or professional.
Considering this is the most expensive hotel in David, ChiriquĂ, it's unacceptable that guests are not warned in advance about disruptive renovations. A simple apology doesnât make up for lost rest or a disrupted stay. Once they have your money, it really does feel like customer comfort becomes an afterthought.
