The check in manager, Helen, was very slow and surly to check us in. Our room was not completely made up. The pillows were piled on the couch not on the bed. The towels were not hung next to the sink, instead piled in the bathroom. The bed spread was soiled and had cigarette burn holes. There was no carpet, the window was opaque from outside dirt. The A/C had not been turned on so the room was warm and musty when we entered. The outlet plug was so worn that my phone charger would not stay plugged in. The chrome legs of the luggage were covered with rust. lt was an overall unpleasant experience especially because no effort was made by the manger to resolve any of our complaints instead they were met with rude responses. I asked to be moved to another room but was told by the manager, in a churlish manner, that we weren’t getting one even though rooms were available. We do not plan to ever stay in another Wyndham hotel again.
