We requested for connecting rooms. I called both hyatt place as well as hotels.com prior to my check-in. Both mentioned that it's subject to availability when I check-in. So i came earlier and requested again. However, staff who attended to me, Nazwan, could not give me a comnecting room. Perhaps he is new as I've never seen him before. He did not go beyond the mile to check for me or make any other effort.
To add to my context, i was travelling with elderly parents in their 70s and a toddler. In my request, I wrote my need for connecting rooms and rooms near the lift. Instead, i was given rooms right at the end of the corridor which was a long walk! Room 1610 and 1611 to be exact.
I faced the same problem with hyatt place multiple times. Service at Holiday Inn JBCC is much better. Many times, check-in staff there would amend my bookings upon seeing my condition. They would even call upon their manager for help. Their level of service at Holiday Inn is impeccable!
Despite the stressing stay, the technician (man with specs) and the staff who came to our room to repair our tv as well as pass a sewing kit to my parents was nice and polite.
