Good place to stay. Near the train. I would put more outlets by the desk instead of the bed

Convenient location. Walking distance of main transportation hub and shopping.

Location is good, bus stop just in front of the hotel front door, very convenient. Staffs are friendly and helpful

The hotel was great. Very easy to get to from the train station; there were buses that stopped almost directly across the street. The bus is your lifeline in Kyoto so being so close to a stop was a big plus. The staff was very nice and helped us make dinner reservations during our stay. They also sell bus and train passes at the front desk. The room was comfortable and clean. There is complimentary water and tea left in the room each day often accompanied by a small snack. WiFi access was acceptable. Bathroom amenities were nice. We would happily stay here again!

A good experience
Terrific position and lovely view from our room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable but the room was very small .
Wonderful to have the bus stop to/ from the station right outside.
Good pod coffee was available after midday so we were disappointed that coffee wasn’t available in the morning.

So, on the positive side, the hotel was clean and there were no major issues. But, it was considerably more run down than the photos made us believe it would be. The hallways and common areas were very outdated and run down and the hotel simply did not have a welcoming vibe. The beds were rock hard and only had one small pillow on each bed, but again, they seemed very clean. The bathroom was kind of odd, the size of an airplane bathroom with a very weirdly shaped bathtub. It looked like a pre-fab restroom they just airlifted into a space in the room.
The breakfast buffet was very good with great options and a nice view of the city. The staff was friendly. All in all, it's a cheap hotel with more of a motel vibe. If you're on a budget, this is probably a good find, just go in knowing that it is at most a three star hotel with very little accommodations.

Great hotel near Downtown Kyoto!
This hotel was in a pretty good location, about a 10 minute walk to Downtown Kyoto & Gion which has endless amounts of restaurants & shopping. There was also an excellent coffee shop right across the road, and a convenience store a few buildings down which was great.
The room itself was very small, however it probably met the standard in Japan. We did have a massage chair in the room though which was amazing & definitely made up for the size of the room.
The bed was comfortable & there was a mini fridge, however no microwave.
We did find the room extremely stuffy though, there was a temperature control in the room but it wouldn’t go down low enough to get air flow in the room. Luckily we had a room where we were able to open to window, however that let a bit of street noise in.
The hotel staff were all very friendly & there is a free coffee machine in the lobby which was a nice amenity.
Overall, this hotel is a great option if you want to stay close to Downtown Kyoto at a reasonable price!

Great hotel for the low maintenance traveler. The staff was really friendly and kind. The only downside for me was that the walls are really thin and you can hear everything in the next room would recommend bringing ear plugs.
