Gorgeous heritage hotel! Staff were friendly, cheerful and every one was helpful beyond what was asked. My beautifully decorated room was not large, but thoughtfully designed to accommodate a guest’s every need without cluttering up every surface and space. French press coffee maker, snacks and little fridge were stored away in an antique armoire; and the pretty bathroom had plenty of clear space where I could put my own toiletries on its antique table with sink mounted in its marble top, and shelves above and below! No tiny bottles, packages and baskets: lotion, shampoo, crepe rinse and soap were provided in mounted wall dispensers in a walk-in shower. And there was a grounded outlet able handle any hairdryer located right next to the mirror. The bed was comfy, the room temp adjustable, and there were four big puffy down pillows (my only complaint is that they always flatten into bricks, but to be fair I did not ask for a foam pillow). In the morning, an unexpected surprise was the complimentary breakfast…a delicious full buffet! I’ve stayed at a number of hotels and B&Bs in Seattle, all very nice, but the Arctic Club, evocative of bygone days, is now my favorite!
