Good Location, Run down Hotel, way to expensive
Good:
The Location. Close to the harbour, restaurants and outlet store. The staff was friendly and tried to help.
Breakfast was surprisingly good.
Negative:
Sadly a run down hotel. The ground floor is a weird entrance, dark, empty, not welcomy. The front desk is on the first floor, here its actually okay, the staff is friendly. The corridors are already run down, a broken lamp was on the floor for three days.
The room was the worst, stains everywhere (side of the bed, couch, carpet, curtains), hair in the bed and really heavy mold in the shower.
The whole room looked super used and more like a hostel from the late '00. Keep in mind that we paid 400£ for 3 nights.
It would have been okay for like 70£ a night but we were really disappointed. The bed was okayish, also the towels.
We asked for a new room, it was not better. We even thought about changing hotels, called expedia twice but it wasn't possible. So we changed rooms and got a deep cleaning promised.
But, like I said, it wasn't just the cleanliness but also the run down furniture, halls and entrance.
We will not stay there again as its too expensive for what we got and I felt not comfortable at all.
I don't want to blame it on the cleaning staff or the desk clerks as its seems to be much more a management issue.
