Overall this was the singular most disappointing interaction I have had with hotels.com, and the lack of support from both the hotel owner, as well as hotels.com have convinced me to stop using the service as a whole. I'd rather just book through hotel websites from now on.
To the meat of it-
This âhotelâ is not a hotel. It is a BNB. You are literally in a room off of someoneâs kitchen or dining room or something similar.
Much like a listing on AirBNB, the property will have charges tacked onto your stay for âcleaningâ if you do not âcleanâ to their expectation.
The property has a unique âcheck inâ which is âbreak into a strange house in the middle of the nightâ, because there is no check in process. They claim to send instructions on the website, but there were no instructions sent until reached out for more.
Is it a cute house? Sure. But I was trying to book a hotel, not an overnight at a strangers home.
