A family-run hotel. The folks behind the counter are a trove of information about the ins and outs of the area. Don't ask a question you don't want a comprehensive answer to. They have a lot of Christian-conference and hunter clientele and seem to delight in both, as well as the occasional travelers like us. There are signs about removing muddy hunting gear before entering, but the only indication of the hunting business was the tiled area just inside the room door. We had a good-sized room, with a free microwave, refrigerator, and decent-speed WiFi at a great price. The night after we stayed here, we stayed on the executive floor at a Sheraton in Atlanta for about 3x the cost. It was not as quiet and didn't have a microwave or refrigerator; WiFi was an extra, but not noticeably faster. The people here were welcoming, the room was clean and quiet, the parking was easy and ample, and my wife gives it 5 stars for the water pressure in the shower (a particular criterion for her). Easy in/out access and Google Maps leads you directly to the driveway. We were there for a family event nearby and will probably stay there again next year. If you're looking for the Ritz, you're in the wrong part of the world, but if you're looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay at a good price, this would be my recommendation.
