I was looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful to bed down after seeing the illuminations. Yes the decor is a bit tired and dated but you get what you pay for. I've paid a lot more and got worse before! The room was clean, bed was comfy. Could have done with a couple of extra pillows but it's not a dealbreaker. Hotel didn't seem to get the note about having a wheelchair user, but there were only 3 steps to the room so we made that work. It was quiet over night, people were keen and were roaming corridors at 7am, which is earlier than I planned to rise on a rare day off work, but that's to be expected. Didn’t try any food, so I can't comment on that. Car park is sizeable, but apparently very popular so it was hard to find a space. No accesible spaces were available, but at that point we were just glad to get parked anywhere.
In summary, it was better than I expected, but be reasonable about your expectations, the Ritz, it ain't.
