Great Concept, Comfortable, but a few Gotchas
I love this concept! I wish more ski towns offered this type of lodging! The beds in the sleep chambers were very comfortable and seemed pretty new, the facility was clean, there was a large common room, and everyone seemed very respectful with regards to personal space during this pandemic. The WiFi was stable and I streamed ski movies on my ipad in my bunk! The lockers were larger than I expected, and easy to use, there was even a locking drawer under the bed for more storage. The location is great and you can easily walk to everything in downtown. I would book the Cache House again for another solo trip, or with an adventurous partner.
Now the Gotchas; There is no parking, the hotel parking lot is small and reserved for upstairs guests of the Anvil. I don't know if this is enforced, I saw other guests parking there, but I was told to park in the public structure which is about a 10 minute walk away. There was a small charge per night the hotel charged on top of my online booking price, it was less than $3 so no big deal, but would have been nice to know. I kept my skis in my car, but saw other guests keeping theirs in their beds! I didn't see designated ski storage. Finally check the shower to make sure the handle is not broken off before getting naked! the first 2 I tried were broken, luckily it was not busy.
All considered, The Cache House was a great place to stay, and would probably be better when the pandemic is over!

Good stay, additional charges without knowledge
The stay was great. I unfortunately have gotten charged 3 extra times in which I will need that refund back. I was charged when I made the reservation (even though it says it did not charge my card) and then again twice upon arrival (one time in person, an additional 25 dollar fee without explanation). I would like my refund for the additional charges.

Cache house is an upscale type hostel. It is more than worth the money considering the location and the comfort of the confines.

first hostel experience, and we absolutely loved it. the beds are comfy & the restrooms were clean, nice, and we were overall very impressed with how this “hostel” still had a luxury feel.

Never stayed at a Hostile.
This was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It may be best to bring a small fan to circulate air in bunk. I have been a 25 year hotelier at major hotels and have stayed at many nice hotels. This is a great alternative to an expensive hotel.

I loved staying at Cache House for my one night in Jackson hole! Large comfortable beds still felt very quiet and private for the hostel experience. Price was excellent. Private washroom/shower/vanities were all centrally located. Would highly recommend and would stay there again!

Modern and Convenient
Love this concept! Bed was so comfortable and clean, great shower, fast wifi, excellent free coffee. Would definitely return!

Careful what you pay for.
Cache house should not be listed under hotels, it doesn't sell rooms just beds in a hallway. It's a hostel with no private rooms, and borrowed admin support from the hotel above. Not user friendly and not accurately portrayed online. Didn't end up staying there, still working to get my charges refunded. Interesting that my receipt says room 10, not bed 10. Poor marketing all around.

Be careful with this place
This is supposedly a high-end property, but they made three mistakes that cause me to write this unfavorable review.
Problem #1: Check in, I arrived early at 2:30 and was told my berth (it's a hostel) was not ready yet, she would call me as soon as it was. By 5 p.m. no call I went and camped out in the lobby. When I asked, oh yes your berth is ready, has been for two hours. Huh? They could have called me and saved me the time sitting in my car.
Solution to #1: For early arrivals and *all they have to do is make up a single bed*, tell the customer to wait 15 minutes, call housekeeping and have them make the bed.
Problem #2: Putting two customers within 4 1/2 feet of each other in an enclosed space. They were trying to address covid concerns by running the hostel at well-below capacity, yet they still managed to put two of us together, while lots of other berths in the 26-unit hallway were empty. Solution to #2: you got it - spread the people out. This was serious, I spent four hours in there and four more in my car for covid safety. Not what I wanted to do for $100 a night.
Problem #3: Hidden charge. It wasn't much, but what they charged was $15 more than the hotels.com guaranteed total. I was an "extra charge" the property assesses, but it isn't listed on hotels.com and they don't tell you at check-in. I don't mind the extra money, it's the principle of the thing. Solution to #3: tell customers in advance of all charges.
So be careful of this property.

Very nice facility. Would have been nice to be able to use the common areas, but with covid-19 that was not possible, understandably.
Thanks for a very comfortable bed and friendly staff.
