This Hotel is falsely marketed as 4Star !!! It may have been in the 90’s but in 2019 it may pass for 2 stars !!
Its Old, worn out and from a another time era!!! Although the prices to stay are very much 2019. Come on whoever owns this place , Sliema has moved on to another level , Catch up and get the place redesigned and remodelled , it is in an Excellent Location so make it Better.

Comfortable beds, clean rooms and spaceous. Only issue was very uneven floor in dining room due to raised ceramic floor tiles which we joked was due to an earthquake. No idea what it was but it was a hazard and, I think, recent.

They do a decent breakfast buffet, apart from the fruit juices (not fresh). Staff are responsive and dealt with queries promptly. Air conditioning was functional and beds comfortable. We had a problem with the water supply and they dealt with it effectively.
Overall the accommodation is adequate.
Certain improvements could be made. Communication for example. In relation to the water incident, we were elsewhere when it became apparent that the problem was ongoing and we only found out about the room change when we returned to the hotel at about 11 pm - had we returned after 12, there would have been nobody at reception to inform us of the change and give us the key to the new room. They should have a 24 hour reception anyway (so be careful if your flight is in the evening). They could have contacted us re the change, contact details were provided and they should also have given us an opportunity to view the new room - although it had a sea view it was inferior to our earlier room in a number of respects (smaller dimensions, smaller tv, twin beds instead of a double bed) and they should have offered to help us move our things.
The bathroom towels could be bigger. It's mean of them only to provide 2 small plastic bottles of water for the duration.
They should provide all rooms with a proper safe for valuables, instead of charging guests for a lock, on request.
Finally, in most hotels check out is at 12 not 11 (as it is here)and they should draw more attention to that.

Great value for money
A nice value for money brief stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, though the place has seen better days.
Well located for local attractions and handy for bus routes.

The staff were rude, especially the receptionist Wioletta and under manager. Rooms were flooding due to storm, if the windows overlooking sea had have been sealed this would not have happened. No air conditioning or heating. We were given a tiny heater that was useless. Clothes and beds were damp and we had to paddle through an inch of water to use bathroom from early evening through the night and next morning. moved to fifth floor but got similar. They had put rolled up towels to stop flooding which was marginally better. Have photographic proof.
Food incredibly basic and restaurant staff there were only two couldn’t cope.

An ordinary experience
Arrived early and waited to check in. No smile or welcome from reception staff. The room decor very dated, it was very noisy as my balcony was by the road and the drains in my room stank pretty badly. Housekeeping dealt with this thankfully. They were the only friendly staff. Don't buy the bus tour tickets from the hotel it is cheaper outside and the bus company's tickets they sell have old buses with radios not working. Had breakfast once, varied but overcooked as the food is left cooking instead of warming whilst on display. I got used to the noise from the waves and traffic, some of the front of house staff are better than others, all in all it wasn't too bad but could have been better. Friendly and helpful staff always make the difference between an ordinary and lovely experience. I was surprised to find out the hotel was owned by the Johnson Group.

It was a good hotel for a 5 night winter trip. Nice food in the restaurant.
