The best features of this Selina is the very convenient location in a small but central street in Barrio Alto. Public transport (several busses and the historical 28) is very near (Metro Cais do Sodré in 10min walk), but you don‘t suffer from noise. Lot‘s of nice restaurants and bars around, Chiado and a lot of sights in walking distance.
I booked a standard room, which is ideal for one person, but could be quite small for two. Got 205 in the 2nd floor with nice garden view and enough light. Room and ensuite bathroom were clean (and serviced every day).
Check-in was friendly and effective including a tour around the property (btw: very charming reception staff).
Used the clean common kitchen several times. Missed a coffee making facility (not even a french press was available…).
Unfortunately, buying coffee in the restaurant was not a good alternative, as I experienced staff there several times as not attentive and rather unfriendly. On my last day it was not possible to place an order at all, because the young lady busily prepared orange juice and stood backwise to the desk, not reacting on my three friendly trys to call her…
Overall the 5-night-stay was good and suited my needs fully. Especially as I booked it in a package with the flight for less than 700,- €.
