Pleasant Stay with a Few Minor Issues
This is a peaceful & charming retreat with a well-maintained courtyard. The owners were nice & accommodating although I was somewhat uncomfortable that they entered our room to close the drapes after we had checked in, placed our luggage in the room & had gone to dinner.
Our room was clean & comfortable, featuring a spacious bathroom & king-size bed, though one side of the bed noticeably sloped toward the floor. The WiFi worked well, but the internet for the TV did not, so we were unable to stream YouTube or Netflix. However, this didn’t detract too much from the overall experience.
The two biggest downsides were finding the property & the parking situation. The hotel is not marked with any type of signage, making it somewhat difficult to locate. Parking, while free, was a bit inconvenient. After we finally located the property, we had to pull up to an unmarked gate & wait for the owner to see us on the security camera before he opened the gate to their parking lot across the street. We checked in & then left for dinner & upon our return to the property had to again pull up to the gate, wait to be seen on the camera & then the owner opened the gate to the parking area across the street. The next morning, we again had to wait for the owner to open the gate to the parking area across the street so we could leave.
Overall, this is a quiet & pleasant place to stay with friendly hosts, but be prepared for a few minor inconveniences, especially regarding parking & accessibility.
