The Southbridge offers clean and comfortable accomodation in Singapores Chinatown.
I didnt want to stay in a Hostel, nut could not afford to stay in a fancy Hotel in Singapore.
I have stayed 2 Nights in a Superior Room at SGD 120.- per Night.
The room offered everything i needed: a window, doublebed, desk, closet, Aircon, TV, Phone, Wifi, private bathroom with hot shower and shampoo/showergel/toothbrush/sewingkit/comb/razor etc.
The Room is tiny and gives only enough room to sleep, not to spend time in it. The shower is in the middle of the bathroom, but will dry quick enough.
Traveling solo the room is big enough, PLEASE BE AWARE if you are staying with two persons it will be cramped.
One negativ point is, that the doors are not soundproof. I could not hear my neighbors. But i could hear clearly every person on the corridor waitung for the elevator or i could hear the maid with her vacuum cleaner.
Luckily i always travel with earplugs, otherwise this would have been a problem.
Honestly this is a very good price/value for Singapore. I have stayed in other singaporean Hotels double the rate, which did not offer such a good an clean room (but more space).
A big plus is the Hotelbar which has outdoor seating until midnight, they offer six or seven different draught beers.
