We spent 6 nights in October at the Parador Nerja. Our room (Superior) was on the second floor with a small balcony (including 2 comfy chairs and a table) affording stunning views of the delighting grounds, the blue sea and the amazing coastline. The room was spacious, airy and very well equipped. Very comfortable bed and large bathroom; everything very clean and spotless. Robes and slippers were also provided. Blackout curtains which reliably kept out the light at night. Our only criticism is that the room and bathroom definitely need an update. The furnishing and decoration looked a bit dated and tired, but all in all, the housekeeping being of a high standard, we found the room OK. We enjoyed the lovely little touches like unexpected cakes or bottled water for our journey home.
The quietly located hotel sits on a cliff overlooking Burriana beach with a convenient elevator taking the guests down the cliff right to the beach. Spacious gardens beautifully maintained with an extensive pool area and ample sunbeds. The hotel is a pleasant, short walk from the old town of Nerja. Delicious breakfast served either in the restaurant or on the terrace enjoying one of the finest views over the sea and mountains. Parking is convenient but a bit pricey (12 euros per day), however halved if you become a member of the “Amigos de Paradores” program.
We found the staff (front desk, restaurant, housekeeping) very professional, friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
