I don’t usually leave reviews when I travel, but I really wanted to share my experience this time.
It had been years since I last traveled with my daughter, so I was looking forward to having a great time. This is a beautiful resort and offers good value for the price. When you enter, the lobby has a pleasant fragrance, and the pool is lovely. However, there were a few disappointments. First of all, the food was very disappointing, and the drinks were terrible. If you want something that seems decent, you have to pay extra. Even the food at the reservation-only restaurants wasn’t great. Although each dish has a price listed, even with the all-inclusive package, they expect more tips which feels a bit burdensome.
The staff members are kind and seem to work very hard, which I appreciated. However, the room wasn’t great. It had an unpleasant smell, and even the towels smelled strange. I received a room statement and noticed a charge of 38 Mexican pesos, so I asked about it. They told me it was a donation and that I could pay it if I wanted to, but I didn’t have to. Why wasn’t I asked before it was charged?I felt very upset about that. There’s also a government tax that you’re required to pay, but they charged slightly more than what I had found when I researched the tax online. Lastly, avoid the Jungle tour w. Snorkeling offered in the lobby. we didn’t even see coral or any beautiful fish, just some strange, unattractive ones. It was a total regret. I did not like this travel.
