The hotel is fine if you’re just looking for a place to crash that is relatively affordable. If you’re looking for a bit more comfort, then look elsewhere.
The good: It’s walking distance to a couple train stations, the staff are nice, and the bathroom was clean. There is a 7-11 right next door which is very convenient. My room was a standard room and it had a mini fridge as well as a fabric freshener spray, which was a nice touch.
The bad: The pillows has stains on them, the room smelt a bit like smoke, and you can hear other guests loudly in the hallways at time (also quite a bit of street noise). They do not store luggage if you arrive early, but there are public storage lockers only a block away so that’s not too bad.
The hotel isn’t that bad — it just depends what you’re looking to get out of it. Personally, as a solo female traveller, I’d spend a bit more money to stay somewhere a little nicer next time. However, if you’re doing a trip where you plan to party, want to save money, and you really don’t care too much about the hotel room, then it’s fine. I’m sure it’s very comparable in quality to other nearby hotels of the same price range.
