Not Bad Overall
Our room was very spacious and nicely decorated...didnt feel outdated at all. Lots of elevators so we never had to wait long. The Downtown Grand does have a few quirks though...there wasn't a ventilation fan in the bathroom, the shower was somewhat of an open shower due to only having a non-sliding glass panel at the shower head end, and there wasn't a mini fridge in the room so it was hard dealing with leftover food. My biggest complaint would be the TV reception...I'd say for about 80% of our stay, there was no signal.

Excellent Staff - They Made the Stay Perfect!
The gentleman who checked us in was simply put, AMAZING! I wish I could remember is name - he saved us! We had been driving for 8 hours and showed up at his desk just wiped out - he bent over backwards for us - saw that we were exhausted and helped us tremendously - got us parked, helped with our luggage - rarely does someone in his position show such kindness and personal care - he didn't know us, we were just strangers to him - but he treated us like family - I was blown away! Kudos to him and your hotel.

Overall the casino and hotel are very well maintained. Very clean and inviting. I enjoyed the Gaming options and variety. The Video Poker at bar was bery tight with the comp drinks. The only negative experience and what leads me to believe i will not be staying there again is the amount of prostitutes late night. It is a constant barrage after a certain hour. It was annoying.

NOT a 4 star hotel. Unacceptably dirty rooms.
My wife and I booked a room here for our wedding. There was a stranger’s pants in the bathroom and dried blood on the sheets!! We informed them and they moved us to another room and comped the resort fee for one of the nights. We shlepped all of our stuff to the new room (this was literally 2 hours after our wedding and we were exhausted), only to find that the new room was basically equally as dirty (period blood on toilet seat and visibly sticky substance on the bed frame). They upgraded us to a nicer room and the person we spoke with was nice, but when I asked if we could get a cart for our stuff (which they only allow an employee to use, understandably), the person told me i could go downstairs and ask for one…. I gave him a look and he changed his tune and said he’d send someone up. The new room was bigger but the shower didn’t get hot and there was an empty water bottle under an armchair. The elevators are also a total disaster, requiring very finicky keycards. We also called for water one night and they said they’d send it up but never did. The only major plus is that the bed is very comfortable. I’m usually very easy going but i’m disappointed. I truly don’t understand how this hotel is rated 4 stars. We won’t be staying here again.

Rooms definitely noisy from Fremont Experience and the adjacent freeway. Room cleaning was done every three days, but only told that at checkout. Unclear on pricing and charges more than we were quoted on hotels.com. Bed oddly lacked a fitted sheet and the flat sheet used didn't cover full length of bed, leaving one sleeping partially on mattress cover. Ick.

I stayed here for 4 nights! Will the day before I was supposed to leave I noticed my backpack that had my car keys, sneakers, house keys and passport was gone! It was in a while plastic bag there’s no way you’ll consider that as trash! My car is parked at the airport back home so when I come home I can drive home but that never happened the keys were in the bag. Security couldn’t do nothing about it I had to call the Vegas metro police to start an investigation. Very unprofessional and unreliable security.

Not sure I would stay again/ Safety
Nice hotel. It was clean. Only two issues. The cleaning service never came in to clean the room while we were out and I didn’t have a note on the door, which meant that I had to call front desk for towels every morning, but they were happy to accommodate. The bigger issue I have is that somebody opened our door in the middle of the night. That’s a safety issue. I was happy that they accommodated the resort fee, but I really feel as though they should refund our money. Also, the face of the door lock was off, even though the room automatically locked, which meant that someone was given a key.

Good stay
The rooms are ok nothing special. The only thing I didn't like is the smell of cigarettes in the hallways and room. Other than that the rooms are fine. I did wish they had fans in the rooms to circulate the air.
