It was our first trip to Singapore and we chose to stay at the Marriott as we made good expiriance with the chain before.
The location of the Hotel is perfect on Scott's corner Orchand road, appreciated that a lot, as other great Hotels are affected by the street Party on Orchand road every first Saturday are month. During that time orchand road is closed for vehicles but at Marriott being on Scott's you get still in and out by taxi easy. Being above a mall and a subway station is just perfect.
The Hotel apears very shiny an renovated. Big shiny lobby, a nice outside bar on Scott's road and the buffet restaurant Being breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The service in all restaurants and bars is at any time at your fingertips. No complains at all. The food itself leaves as well no wish unattended, what's standtart at that rates.
We had a standard room at the 14th floor, nice view, nice furniture, no pillow menu, asked several times for an additional pillow or to be changed for a softer one. Never happened. After three attempts I gave up.
The weakest point is from my point of view Houskeeping. The rooms are made up in a rush, what's not unusual in that industry but didn't feel the room vacuum cleaned a single time. The used glasses from the minibar got washed in the bathroom basin and as well forgotten there. Another day the room was made and they forgot to hang new towels.
Great pool and very very slow elevators.
