Good western style resort hotel in Sokcho
The Lake Ocean Resort is not a hotel. So no daily cleaning and towel change. The hotel staff is very helpful. We ask for towel every day. That was no problem. You will get a well appointed, clean and modern room with a kitchen and free wifi and cable TV. We made a reservation for a bed but we got only an ondol room (korean mattress on the floor) but it was okay for us. So don't forget to read the fine print. The clean toilet/shower room and the washbasin are separately by a door.
The hotel was easy to find. But you need a car because the hotel is on the periphery of Sokcho (4 to 5 km to downtown). But it was quite easy to get around Sokcho with the rental car by using the GPS.
The breakfast is a mixture of quasi-Western and Korean breakfast.
The Location on the map is Lake Ocean Resort 591-2 Yongchon-ri, Toseong-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do, Südkorea. It should not mixed with the Lake Ocean Resort Sokcho in downtown.
