My husband and I arrived late to this hotel after booking it on the Hotels.com app. For the price of the room, the cleanliness was adequate. Lotta handprints on stuff, streaks on the mirrors, minor things.
The reason for my one star rating, honestly, I would give it a half a star or zero stars if I could, is because at 8:15 in the morning, I was returning from the bathroom and almost back in bed and the next thing I hear is The door open. If we had not engaged the safety latch, the person would’ve been in our room. The next thing I hear is “Housekeeping.” In a male voice. A male employee tried to enter the room without knocking or notifying us. And if the safety latch was not engaged, he would’ve been in the room before he said anything.
I called down to the front desk to let them know of this situation and the desk attendant stated “Okay, I’m sorry.” That was it. I was not OK with this for the simple fact that business 101 is you acknowledge the customer. Not only that I’ve never been in a hotel where housekeeping just walked in the room without knocking on the door.
This experience made me feel very unsafe and upon speaking to the Front desk attendant she admitted that this isn’t the first time that This happened. They do not have a policy knock on the door before entering.
Drive by this hotel. Do not stay here.
