When you go for a hotel in Rome's EUR quarter, you probably choose it because you have something to do somewhere in the area, and it's probably not going to be something touristic. Not the prettiest part of town. But since that's not the point here, we can disregard that - and focus on the hotel. Which is what you expect from a Novotel - a sensible choice for a business trip. Helpful and friendly staff and rooms that are comfortable and spacious enough to feel good between business appointments. Fair trade bathroom amenities give it a bonus point, just as the coffee machine in the room. Breakfast doesn't thrill anyone, but it does the job. Lunch choices are sensible, tasty, and well prepared. Enough reasons to choose it again when I am in town for the same business partners.
