Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dallas Fair Park

had a huge roach on the wall in the shower and then I woke up and found another huge one by the toilet, don’t think it was the same one because I killed the first one and let it go drop down the drain in the shower. the two rolls of toilet paper that were there were less than half way used so ran out of toilet paper and didn’t want to go down because I had already gone down to let them know about the roach. Nd it was towards end when we were getting ready to leave so we just used up the Kleenex and there wasn’t very many kleenex. Because I booked through hotels.com they could not give me a discount on the room

Toilet wasn’t working as soon as we got arrived. Front desk employees were rarely up front taking care of customers.

Being under construction is one thing, but the contractors not cleaning up after themselves was disrespectful to the guest. The hot tub was COLD. The shower leaked. The "boarder" carpet was pealing away from the wall. The front desk staff was WONDERFUL! Breakfast was hot. Check-in was easy. The location was nice.

Good customers care, Clean room and good breakfast. But under repair!! Lobby area..

The hotel is being remodeled, lot of dust, bare walls, things piled around.The fitness room had good equipment but no towels all times I used it. The refrigerator in the room was loud and ran constantly. Electric plugins in the light fixture by the bed did not all work. No facial tissue in the room all the time I was there.

Our room had no heat, however, the staff did move us to a new room, There was a lot of construction going on which took away space from the pet area, Over all the staff was great and very friendly.

While the hotel is currently undergoing renovations the stay was very nice. The breakfast is outstanding! The staff was very helpful assisting me in a room change. We'll be back next year, can't wait to see the completed renovations.

The pictures on Hotels.com look nothing like what this hotel really looks like. We had a late check in so I made a poi t to call ahead of time so they wouldn’t give Ilya the last “crappy” room they had left, and sure enough, they put us on the only floor undergoing construction. Walls torn out, graffiti on the walls, and a view of everything being torn up thrown outside our window - piles of trashed drywall, paint buckets and trash. The place was dirty and run down. The trash container next to the front door of the hotel (the first thing people see) was overflowing when we arrived on Friday and continued to overflow with even more trash piling up on the grown around it as we left on Sunday. At breakfast, they ran out of food at 9:30 and stated there would not be more coming (it was supposed to go till 10). The night clerk was very nice under pressure.

This place is a go-to for us. However it would have been nice to be notified on the hotels.com app that the hotel is going under major renovations. The construction smells and dust covered the hotel. So not ideal. Coming to sleep after a very long and stressful day, it was not pleasant with the diat everywhere including the elevators and much worse was the smell that filled the air vents and ultimately the room we slept in.
