We spent 1 week (incl. 3 rainy days) there, rented a car, explored nearby villages, mountains and castles. The restaurant is awesome: great view over Loch Fyne, best steak I ever had, friendly staff, they offered many gluten-free meals and gluten-free bread for breakfast. I strongly recommend selecting a room with a view over Loch Fyne. The large public rooms (library, bar, drawing room) convey a nice, comfortable feeling. The rooms could be improved, e.g. there were no european power adapters available, the bathroom looked old, the shower was uncomfortable. Internet connection was very slow and half of the time (and in half of the rooms) non existent. No WiFi connection in the restaurant at all, only in the library and certain rooms. TV reception was very poor (also the TV was very small). Cell reception is zero, but foreign phone calls from the room's phone are free.
