i booked a double queen room at this hovel, based on its nice looking pool and spa area, for my son and I, which is on the cover of the hotels page. I get there and the manager proceeds to tell me that the pool is closed for the time being. I asked about the hot rub and he says its horrible and doesnt work. I go up to the room , looking at the pool on my way, it hadnt been cleaned for quite some time and had a later of leaves and dirt on top of the water. The bathroom in the lobby was also not working because they claim that someone locked the door and left with the key. . I go up to the room to a 2nd story maze of delapitated hallways to find our room. Sadly, it was a king room . I went back down to the desk to resolve this, I asked the manager if a double queen was available, He said yes, I have one..I said great…..now is where it gets fun… he then backtracks and says that he may not have one available….he says he can change the room but it would be $55 extra! the hotels website, the king and the double queens were exactly the same price. I asked him to do me a favor because of the pool situation and all to kindly give the room at the same price. he them said he could take $25 CASH. thats when I started recording him and asked him if we called corporate, they would be ok with me handing him cash. he backtracked. Total scammer, stay away. waffle mix was only thing out for breakfast..
