We had booked this hotel for 7 nights (for the last week in May 2018) based on the excellent reviews, beautiful pictures and the description of the hotel and its features. When we arrived, however, we noticed that our room did not have a balcony. The staff at the hotel explained that we had booked an 'Economy room' without a balcony (which is technically correct), but we still found this to be very strange and misleading for a 4-star holiday hotel, especially since 11/56 out of the pictures show a balcony, and since the lack of a balcony was not explicitly mentioned anywhere during the booking process.
More important, however, was the fact that a large part of the hotel was a construction site: We were woken up at approx. 7.30 the next morning by the loud construction noise below our window (where the pool should have been), and the terrace of the restaurant was not open either due the ongoing work. Also, neither the pool nor the park-like walkway to the sea that can be seen on the pictures were available, and we also couldn't find any roof terrace.
Consequently, we were extremely disappointed and spoke to the staff, who were extremely friendly and understanding. They also helped us to get transferred to a different hotel the next morning (Thank You!), otherwise our vacation would have remained a nightmare! Nevertheless, we basically lost one entire vacation day, and had an awful start into our holiday.
