This is an overpriced 2 star hotel at best!
It’s a relatively modern hotel, with spacious rooms, good beach.
The staff is very rude. They have a terrible attitude, and want you to speak Spanish to them, which is strange, considering that this is an international resort. Forget about hospitality or customer service - haha.
Overcrowded, the hotel can’t properly manage the flow. Feels like a conveyer. Too many people everywhere, as a result, no free sunbeds by the beach or pool, long lines to buffets, cafes, bars.
The front desk is forcing guests to pay extra, citing hotel policies, for example:
1. the ala cart restaurants dining is free only for 2 nights, then it’s paid.
2. If you need a late check-out, you need to walk to the front desk to make arrangements, it can’t be done over the phone. Consider the distance and what an inconvenience to guests!
3. We booked a family suit for 4 adults, but somehow the reservation missed my 3 year old child, it was only for 2 adults. They forced us to pay extra for a child to stay in the family suit.
My daughter got food poisoning from the main Orchidia buffet - hygiene in this buffet is low, smells, dirty tables. Again, this is the mill/ conveyer - no one cares about hygiene. No food inspection, I am sure. Be very careful when bringing young kids.
Overall, this hotel sucks. Staff is hostile and unhelpful, out for themselves to make an extra cash out of any tourists who happen to come to this place.
Never coming to this hotel!
