Having stayed at this property before, I was looking forward to my stay. However, it was obvious I was given the worst room in the building after having paid the same as my colleagues and seeing their rooms.
My room was upstairs, bed was soft with springs sticking out and you could hardly swing a cat in it, unless you wanted to sleep in the cupboard which was huge. The whole room was extremely tired, grubby and extremely warm. Linens and pillows were cheap and uncomfortable. My bath towels had holes in them. I could get no hot water in the evening (rushing to get down for dinner). I had to run down the corridor half wet to my friend's room to get a decent shower. My friends however, had perfectly adequate refurbished rooms, leaving me feeling like the poor relation. At £90 a night, I was expecting and should have received more. I expressed my disappointment on check out politely, and was told that the Manager would be in touch. This was over a week ago. Avoid unless you like a lottery.
